Writers can enter a poetry competition to mark the 100th anniversary of the start of the First World War.

The Broadwalk Centre, in Station Road, Edgware, is asking its shoppers to to submit their very own poems inspired by war.

Winners will recieve £50 worth of book vouchers and runners up will see their poems displayed in the centre.

Entries can be dropped off at the Broadwalk Centre’s management suite.

They can also be posted to The Broadwalk’s WW1 Poetry Competition, C/O PMW Communications. Stane Court, Stane Street, Billingshurst, West Sussex, RH14 9HP or emailed to thebroadwalk@pmwcom.co.uk

All entries should state the writer’s name, age category they wish to be entered in to, with the writer's age if under 16, and contact telephone number and email.

The closing date for submissions is Sunday July 27, 2014.
