A schoolboy's story about being diagnosed with Asperger's won him the top prize in a national young writing competition.

Eleven-year-old Harry Dewberry, of Ladbrooke JMI School in Potters Bar, went through to the national Rotary Great Britain and Ireland Young Writer contest after winning the Mid Herts Rotary competition.

This year's theme was What a Difference That Made to My Life, and Harry chose to write about his Asperger's.

His story explained how he felt like a fish swimming in the wrong direction, but that when he was diagnosed with Asperger's everything became clear.

Harry was crowned the overall winner and was presented with a trophy and certificate by Rotarians Jenny Muir, Mike Thorpe and Potters Bar Rotary Club President James Thompson at a school assembly.
