A college's chairman of governors has been chosen to help improve other schools in the country.
Ian Phillips, who heads governors at Woodhouse College in Finchley, is now a ‘national leader of governance’.
He was one of 54 selected by the National College of Teaching and Leadership.
Mr Phillips, who has been on the governing body of the school for 21 years, said: “This enables me to share my experience with other schools of all types that are ambitious to be as effective as possible.
“I will also help other chairmen carry out their underrated but pivotal role in the delivery of education.”
