A group of students showed of their fancy footwork in a dance-off with more than 25,000 competitors.
Pupils from Finchley Catholic High School narrowly missed out on winning this year’s UK Rock Challenge with their piece Out with the Old.
They used dance to tell a story about toys that have been long-forgotten due to the ever-growing popularity of handheld gadgets.
Their performance had the audience on their feet, and their efforts saw the team receive eight awards for excellence in concept, drama, set design, costumes, entertainment, visual enhancement, video performance and performers’ choice.
More than 315 schools throughout the UK took part in the contest but it was Bournemouth’s Oak Academy - LeAF Campus pupils who took home the overall winner’s trophy.
