The Mayor of London welcomed new citizens to the UK in a special ceremony.

Deepu James, who was born in India but currently lives in Mill Hill, was welcomed by Mayor Boris Johnson at City Hall last week.

Mr James, a software engineer and part time actor, was among 33 new citizens who represented each of London's boroughs at the event.

They were all presented with a certificate and a small gift to commemorate their British citizenship.
