Tech-savvy students have won an award for designing an app to help people track their spending.
Pupils from Mount Grace School, in Church Road, Potters Bar, were presented with the Sshool of the year award at the Apps for Good competition held at the Barbican.
Arlo, Jack, Andrew and Adam invented the app with the help of company Apps for Good after attending a course on software design at their school.
More than 1,000 school teams entered the competition, which was whittled down to 18 finalists.
As part of the competition, the Year 10 students were given mentoring from industry experts via Skype.
Headteacher Peter Baker said: ”We are delighted to receive the school of the year award and are very proud of the achievements of our year ten students.”
