Police recovered 100 kilos of cannabis and opium during a drugs bust where two people were arrested.
The Metropolitan Police Service’s Projects team spotted a lorry driver handing over a large holdall to the driver of a BMW in Mansfield, Nottingham, at 11pm last night.
The car was stopped and the discovery of 15 kilos of opium and two kilos of cannabis led them to a property in Hendale Avenue, Hendon.
There, they found 100 kilos of cannabis and approximately £50,000 in cash.
The driver of the BMW, a 31-year-old man, and the 38-year-old lorry driver were arrested in connection with the haul and remain in custody at a north London police station.
