A centre that helps and supports lone patents across the borough has been given a cash boost.
Barnet Lone Parent Centre has been given a grant of £21,326 form the HeathHope CIC, with money from raised through The Health Lottery.
The money will help pay for a new two year project to run weekly activity sessions at Underhill Baptist for lone parents with dependent children.
The project will aim to tackle issues of isolation which some parents can experience and will offer art and craft activities and a range of visiting speakers.
The grant is just part of a £120,000 pot of money being spread among different projects in north west London by the People’s Health Trust.
