Barnet woman becomes Liveryman
A City of London company that dates back to the 14th century has awarded a woman with a prestigious title.
Carol Tullo, who lives in Barnet, has been made as a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Stationers and Newspaper Makers at a ceremony in City Hall.
She was given the title after working as a controller at Her Majesty’s Stationary Office, meaning she now has ‘freedom of the company’.
The 400-year-old firm was formed in 1403 when writers, printers and publishers formed a guild, and now has more than 800 members who work in the industry.
