A football club will enter a new partnership with a cricket club to extend its academic programme.
Boreham Wood FC’s Meadow Park-based team has announced the three-year partnership with Barnet’s Old Elizabethans Cricket Club.
The new deal will also allow for an expansion of the club’s partnership with Barnet and Southgate College, and of the club’s academy structure by creating an additional training facility.
The new ground is being developed at the Barnet clubs Mays Lane site, and will include two grass pitches, a daily coach service, Wi-Fi and new kit rooms.
Boreham Wood chairman Danny Hunter said: “With so much common already ground agreed, I am thrilled to make this exciting announcement, as it allows our student recruitment to be truly diverse with all courses possible. I look forward to working closely with Barnet and Southgate College and Old Elizabethans and their staff over the next three years."
