A man arrested in connection with the murder of a Pakistani politician has been released on bail.

The 30-year-old, who was arrested yesterday at an address in Waltham Forest in connection with the death of Dr Imran Farqood, has been bailed until mid-November.

Dr Farooq was killed after an attack outside his home in Green Lane, Edgware in September 2010. He died after being stabbed several times and hit with a brick over the head.

Police are also keen to speak to Moshin Ali Syed, 29, and Muhammed Kashif Khan Kamran, 35, both Pakistani nationals who left the UK on September 16, 2010.

A 52-year-old man, arrested on June 2013, on suspicion of conspiracy to murder at Heathrow Airport, remains on police bail pending further enquiries.
