  • Film Posters Exhibition

Dark City Gallery will be exhibiting a selection of their stunning, striking film posters, inspired by the pieces of art created to advertise films in the 1930s, at the Phoenix Cinema, the perfect setting for them. They will be exhibiting works by some of the finest designers and artists working today, such as La Boca, Swava Harasymowicz and Adam Simpson.

  • Blooming Marvellous

This summer, a life-sized knitted garden is blossoming in North Finchley - visit the knitted vegetable patch and shed, woolly fruit and picnic treats, and handcrafted birds, insects and animals, all created by an army of 2,500 knitters from Dorset.

  • Elkie Brooks

Successful and popular singer Elkie Brooks is now in the fifth decade of her career and going stronger than ever. She will be performing many of her classic hits along with her favourite blues and jazz numbers in an evening that’s guaranteed to get your toes tapping and your fingers snapping.

  • Royal College of Organists 150 for 150 Challenge

Young organist Damon Ying, from Elstree, joins the international recital challenge to celebrate the organisation’s 150th anniversary with a concert in Barnet. The recital includes music by Bach, Franck, Vierne, and Glass.

  • Junk Modelling

To celebrate the nationwide Summer Reading Challenge, try your hand at junk modelling and create your own beast. For five- to 11-year-olds.
