Former police officer in court over murder
A former firearms officer is due to appear in court today charged with murdering a man in Edgware nine years ago.
Azelle Rodney, 24, was killed by a police marksman in Hale Lane in April 2005, after officers stopped the car he was travelling in with two other men, believing they were on their way to carry out an armed robbery.
The officer, who is known only as E7, is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court.
