A teenager will see her logo put to use by police after she won an art competition.
Mishma Gurung, a Year 10 pupil at The Totteridge Academy, in Barnet Lane, won a competition to design a logo for operation mercury, a burglary prevention scheme.
Borough Commander of Barnet Police, Chief Superintendent Adrian Usher, attended the school to present the award.
Operation mercury will be launched on Thursday, and will see police officers visit schools, town centres and railway stations across the borough to give advice on preventing burglary.
