People strapped on their dancing shoes and jived to the music at a tea dance.
Barnet Homes organised the event at St Mary’s Church in Hendon Lane for its sheltered housing tenants.
The dance was open to older people from across the community to give them the chance to make friends while taking part in an activity.
People twirled on the dancefloor as a live band played a variety of old classics.
Supermarket chain Tesco sponsored the event and provided food, drinks as well as raffle prizes including a 26-inch television, luxury chocolates and books.
