An MP is hoping to be top dog in Westminster.
Hendon MP Matthew Offord and his three-year-old Jack Russell Maximus will battle against other politicians and their pets at the Westminster Dog of the Year competition.
It will be judged by people from the Kennel Club and Dogs Trust, as well as last year's winner, MP Alan Duncan.
Matthew Offord said: “Maximus is a wonderful companion and my biggest supporter.
“With dogged determination, I have no doubt that he will win over the hearts of the voters and achieve a landslide victory.”
It will take place at Victoria Tower Gardens on Thursday October 23.
