A giant bumblebee helped collect money for a children’s charity.
Barnet FC teamed up with Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice, based in Victors Way, Barnet, to raise money at Brent Cross Shopping Centre yesterday.
Mr Bumble, the Barnet FC mascot, took part, along with Steven Barron, head of the club's charity the Hive Community Trust, and Taylan Uysal from Noah’s Ark.
Mr Barron said: “It went really well. It can be difficult collecting for charity, but it helps raise awareness of Noah’s Ark. People know the charity, and are always happy to give.
“It’s a very important organisation. We give them a hand whenever we can, and whenever they need support.
“We'd like to say a big thank you to all of the people who made such generous donations.”
