A housing development on the site of a former barracks has been welcomed by the leader of the council.
Councillor Richard Cornelius, leader of Barnet Borough Council, visited the Millbrook Park development in Mill Hill, which is building 241 new homes on the site of the former Inglis Barracks.
He was joined for a tour of the site with Linden’s land director Nick Laugharne and marketing and communications manager Naomi Burrell.
Cllr Cornelius said: “I was particularly pleased to learn that Linden Homes and its contractors have taken on eight apprentices between them on this site. This helps the industry retain the skills it needs but also gives these young people a future career.
“The site is being transformed at a rapid pace.”
