Barnet people are embracing technology when it comes to paying for their TV licence - but a surprising number still pay by cheque.
Figures from TV Licensing show the town ranked as number ten in Greater London for the number of households using e-licences, with 6,289 homes opting to receive their TV licence by email.
But the statistics also show that 585 people still pay by cheque, putting the town ninth in Greater London.
Martin Dyan, spokesman for TV Licensing in London and the South East, said: “If you’re renewing your licence, it’s worth checking that you’re using the payment method that’s best for you.”
