A small business owner got the chance to showcase her work to the Prince of Wales.
Rima Abboushi, from Finchley, met Prince Charles last Thursday at an event held at the London Bridge offices of accountancy firm PWC (PricewaterhouseCoopers).
The 52-year-old mother set up a textile company, Chachoulie, earlier this year, with help from the Prince’s Initiative for Mature Enterprise (PRIME).
Her business 'upcycles' Palestinian textiles and turns them into crafts and accessories, which she then sells online. The proceeds go towards Palestinian social causes.
The event was held to launch a report by PRIME into economic barriers for older people.
