Staff at Middlesex University have confirmed that university security called the emergency services after a fight that resulted in a death this morning.
Police attended Middlesex University campus in Greyhound Hill, Hendon at 01.09am following a call from security and found a 22-year-old man suffering from serious injuries following a stabbing.
The man was taken by London Ambulance Service to a West London Hospital in a critical condition, where he died a short time later.
A statement from the university said: “Fortunately, incidents such as these are rare at our university. However, Middlesex University takes a very serious line to violence on campus and any students found to be involved will be removed immediately.
“We are co-operating fully with the police as their investigations continue.”
Part of the universiry campus has been closed off by police investigating the murder.
