The Shadow Minister for Public Health discussed how to tackle the stigma around mental health when she visited an Edgware centre.
Luciana Berger MP was given a tour of Jami, in Deansbrook Road, to learn more about the work it does in the Jewish community.
She met staff, volunteers and service users and learnt about Jami’s recovery approach towards mental health, including its employment service.
Ms Berger said: “I was delighted to visit Jami’s centre in Edgware. I am immensely proud to see such a positive approach to mental health services coming from the Jewish community.
“Jami puts service users at the heart of their approach. The great results the Centre achieves are a testament to the hard work of staff and volunteers. I trust that Jami will go from strength to strength in the future.”
