Cadets braved the rain to help plant poppies to commemorate fallen soldiers from the First World War.
A group of 16 cadets, from Christ’s College, in East End Road, Finchley, went to the Tower of London on Sunday, November 2 to plant ceramic poppies in the tower's moat.
Despite the rain, the group, working with other volunteers, managed to help plant 6,000 poppies.
The cadets also took part in a remembrance parade and service the following Sunday at Christ’s College.
The service was followed by a talk by historian Mick Crick about John Parr, the Finchley soldier who was the first British serviceman killed in the First World War.
Families then got a chance to learn about the cadet unit’s history, provided by the Stockdale Trust, as well as watch a video of the poppy planting.
