A Rabbi from Golders Green has been named as one of four people killed in a terror attack at an Israeli synagogue.
Rabbi Avraham Shmuel Goldberg was killed when Palestinian terrorists armed with a gun and an axe stormed into the Bnei Torah Kehilat Yaakov synagogue in Jerusalem this morning.
Mr Goldberg, a 68-year-old grandfather, was born in Liverpoool and is believed to have lived in Golders Green before moving to Israel.
Three other people were killed during this morning’s attacks, described as Jerusalem’s deadliest in years.
The attackers, named as cousins Uday and Rassan Abu Jamal, were shot dead by police as Palestinians celebrated in the streets, throwing sweets and posing with the weapons used in the massacre.
