Finalists for an international book award set up by a Hendon woman will be announced tomorrow.
The annual DSC Prize for South Asian Literature was co-founded by Surina Narula, who lives in Hendon, with her son, Manhad Narula in 2010.
The prize is open to writers of any nationality or ethnicity, as long as the writing is about South Asia, and the shortlist will be announced at the London School of Economics tomorrow.
The winner will receive a $50,000 prize at the Jaipur Literature Festival, in Jaipur, India, on January 22 next year.
Entries will be judged by a panel of academics and writers.
