A new primary free school has announced where it plans to open next September.
The Bellevue Place Education Trust hopes to secure a site for Watling Park School in Pavilion Way, Burnt Oak.
The land is currently owned by Barnet Borough Council, and the Education Funding Agency plans to lease the site on behalf of the school.
Starting with 60 pupils in reception classes, the trust hopes to eventually provide 420 primary school places by 2021.
Claire Delaney, chairman of Bellevue Place Education Trust, said: “It is wonderful news that the site at Pavilion Way has been identified for Watling Park School and we can now accelerate progress with planning the accommodation and outside space to create an excellent learning environment and play space for our pupils and the local community.”
Families with children due to start school in September 2015 can attend an open day at St Alphage Church Hall, at the junction of Playfield Road and Montrose Avenue in Burnt Oak, on January 9 from 4pm to 6.30pm.
Parents and carers can book places online at www.watlingparkschool.org.uk, or by calling 0845 459 0113.
