Detectives are investigating possible links between a burglary and a suspicious death.

An appeal has been launched after a burglary last Saturday at the former home of Milton Papadopoulos in Parkfield View, Potters Bar.

Mr Papadopoulos's death last October is being treated as suspicious.

Hertfordshire Police believe the burglar got in through a back door, and officers are keeping an open mind about possible links between the burglary and Milton’s death.

A guard is in place at the property whilst specialist officers investigate the burglary.

Two men from Romford and a man from Harold Hill have been arrested in connection with Mr Papadopoulos’s death and remain on police bail until later this month.

An investigation into Milton’s death continues.

Detective Inspector Justine Jenkins from the Major Crime Unit said: “At this stage we cannot definitively say whether the burglary is linked to the death of Milton, but we will be exploring this as a line of investigation.

“Parkfield View is a cul-de-sac and any person or vehicle not usually there would have stood out. We would like to hear from anyone in this area who may have heard or seen anything suspicious or unusual in the area during the week commencing February 23.

“At the rear of the house is the Parkfield open space and it is possible the person or people who broke into the property came across this area. Again, I would ask anyone who believes they saw someone or something suspicious in this area to contact us.

“Any information, however insignificant you believe it to be, may prove to be very useful to our investigation.”
