A man is “frustrated” about cracked paving slabs outside his home that he says have not been fixed for more than a year.
When Naresh Kaushik, of Fairfield Crescent, Edgware, noticed paving stones outside his home were broken, he alerted Barnet Borough Council fearing people could trip on the cracked surface.
The 59-year-old claims he has sent countless letters to the authority in the past year, to his councillors and to MPs – to no avail.
He even went as far as alerting Prime Minister David Cameron who replied with a promise to take the matter up, but still nothing has been done.
The 59-year-old said: “It’s particularly bad outside our house and I find it frustrating that nobody has done anything about it.
“No action has been taken despite my repeated reminders. I don’t understand what’s going on or what the holdup is.
“It’s awful, it urgently needs repair.”
Mr Kaushik, a journalist, claims council inspectors admitted the pavements needed to be repaired.
He added: “People who live close to us have children and when they play or run outside, they could trip and fall. I want to avoid this from happening.
“It’s in a terrible state.”
