More than 100 volunteers turned out to take part in a ‘mass spring clean’ on the Grahame Park estate.
Barnet Homes organised the event on Wednesday to get the estate ready for spring, with hanging baskets placed around the concourse and a community garden planted.
Julia Lesczak, Barnet Homes’ community engagement officer, said: “It was just brilliant to see all the families that turned up and so many children helping out with the gardening.
“Now that the community garden has been planted there’ll always be lots of gardening jobs for the youngsters to do and it will be amazing for everyone to see the flowers blooming in a few months’ time.”
