Teenage girls can master dance routines and practice nail art at a new after school project.

Free sessions focusing of dance, fashion, hair and make-up are being run for teenage girls at Potters Bar Health Club, in Mount Grace Road.

The Vivid Beauty project will run sessions every Thursday after school during term time from 5pm to 7.30pm starting on April 30.

The sessions have been funded as a part of Hertsmere Borough Councils We Move, She Moves campaign which is working to encourage girls and women to get active.

The Vivid Beauty project hopes to provide a place for girls to get together, have fun and learn something new.

Corina Best, a youth and projects officer who will be running the sessions, said: "The project is all about helping teenage girls find themselves and be more confident in being an individual, and not necessarily following the crowd.

“You don’t have to have a dance background or know about fashion, the sessions are open to everyone.

“Join us every Thursday and gain some creative skills around dance, fashion and beauty. You’ll learn fun choreographed routines to your favourite artists, get an introduction to the basic concepts of colour, design style, and how to dress confidently, build body confidence, discover flawless make-up tricks and get to create your own stunning nail art.

"You’ll also be able to take part in a professional dance video or live performance, as well as a fashion photo shoot at the end – a brilliant opportunity."

Girls can book in, or just turn up to sessions on the day. For more information or to book, text or call Corina on 07832 205787 or email corina@corinabest.com
