Students clinched a tense victory over schools in a county golf competition.
The winning team from Mount Grace School, in Potters Bar, will now represent Hertfordshire at the English Teams Final in Woodhall Spa in July.
The three boys won the Hertfordshire Schools Golf Team Championship was held on April 2 at Redbourn Golf Club.
More than 25 schools took part, entering teams of three to play 18-hole rounds.
After two rounds, the two best scores from each team were combined to find the winners.
One of Mount Grace’s two teams was tied with another school in first place, but edged ahead when team captain Jai Ahir’s final score was included.
He played alongside his classmates James Clark and Alex Pratten.
Rhys Thomas, golf coach at Mount Grace School said: “We are very proud of this achievement and look forward to representing Hertfordshire at the Final in July.”
