Nursery pupils are celebrating after scooping first prize in a road safety competition.
Children at Parkside Pre-school, in Langstone Way, Mill Hill East, were presented with a road safety kit after their poster came first in Barnet Borough Council’s competition.
The Mayor of Barnet Councillor Hugh Rayner visited the nursery to present the award last week.
Nursery manager Amanda Bueno de Mesquita said: “They were so excited, they got an incredible prize.
“We don’t have a playground, so we have to go out for a walk every day. We have to really drill into them road safety. The judges said they could see the children really understood it. They are really hyper aware of the road, and it came out with the art work.”
