A charity has launched an appeal after an earthquake hit Nepal.
World Jewish Relief, based in Crewys Road, Childs Hill, will provide emergency assistance including food, fresh water, shelter and medical kits.
The earthquake struck on Saturday and the death toll has risen to 4,342.
Paul Anticoni, World Jewish Relief’s chief executive, said: “This is a catastrophic natural disaster. Disaster is widespread and we must respond immediately.
“As Jews we feel a deep responsibility to help those beyond our community at this time of huge crisis. World Jewish Relief is calling on the local community to dig deep as usual to do all we can to help.”
