Streaks of blue and white filled a school as pupils celebrated the Israeli day of independence.
Children at Hasmonean School, in Shirehall Lane, Barnet, drew Stars of David on their faces and wore the colours of the Israeli flag for Yom Ha'atzmaut last Thursday.
Pupils were split into groups and all children participated in a ‘carousel’ of activities, including making fruit kebabs, singing, arts and craft sessions and baking.
The school was decorated in blue and white bunting and flags throughout the day.
