A team of seven adventurers trekked through the Sahara desert and raised more than £12,000 for sick children.
The group - Geoff Lee, Punyapriya Kednah Singh, Diyen Ramani, Elias Hadjikyriacou, Michelle Quarini, Amy Sargeant and Jack Stewart - completed the four day trek through Morocco for Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice, based in Victors Way, Barnet.
Diyen Ramani said: “There were many highlights, including the site of snow-capped mountains to miles and miles of golden sand. We walked in all sorts of weather conditions, from blazing hot sun to sandstorms.
“I for one am really grateful to everyone who has supported Team Noah on this trek and am thrilled to think that we will have raised thousands of pounds for Noah’s Ark.”
The hospice is organising another Sahara trek in November.
