Sainsbury’s Potters Bar has donated £100 to Cherry Lodge Cancer Care as part of its community budget scheme.

Colleagues Kyri Kyriacou and Carole Nicholls handed the money to Annys Douglas at the charity’s shop in Union Street, Barnet last week.

The donation is part of the supermarket's community budget scheme, and go towards drop in services, which include complimentary therapies to people affected by cancer.

Cherry Lodge Cancer Care fundraiser Barbara Moody said “It is through the kindness of our supporters, such as Sainsbury, that our work is able to continue, never turning anyone away from our door and providing our services free of charge.”

Sainsbury’s store manager Paul Stephens said: “When we heard about Cherry Lodge and the amazing support they provide, we just wanted to help to help out as much as we could.”
