A woman travelled to Kenya to deliver children’s clothes donated by the Edgware community.
Sasha Cutten, who works in Specsavers in The Broadwalk Shopping Centre, visited Nakuru earlier this month to volunteer for African Adventures.
The store launched an appeal last month for clothes to donate.
The 18-year-old said: “I was so grateful to be given the opportunity to travel to Kenya and help the children. It really was a life changing experience and it really puts things in perspective. I am proud to have been be a part of it.”
Store director Traci Atni said: "We would like to thank all of our customers for their kind-hearted gifts and support throughout this appeal. It has been wonderful to watch the people of the local area come together to help others less fortunate than themselves."
