People can have their say on the future of the railways in Hertfordshire.
An eight-week public consultation to update Hertfordshire County Council’s rail strategy opens today.
The strategy will guide the council’s input into railway development and planning, and identify investment priorities.
Councillor Derrick Ashley, cabinet member for environment, planning and transport, said: "The rail strategy is an important step in planning for the future of Hertfordshire's rail network. We need to design for population growth and ensure we have the best rail network possible to support economic growth and connectivity.”
The consultation runs until August 4 and can be viewed at www.hertsdirect.org/railconsultation
Hard copies are also available at libraries throughout the county.
