A driver remains trapped in his lorry after it overturned on a busy motorway.

Emergency services were called to the M25 anticlockwise at Junction 23, on the Bignells Corner roundabout at South Mimms services at around 10.30am this morning following reports of an overturned tipper truck.

Three fire crews from St Albans and Borehamwood are at the scene, using cutting equipment in a bid to try to free the man, who is believed to be in his lates 20's.

Three lanes remain blocked as the emergency services deal with the incident, and the road was temporarily closed to allow the air ambulance to land.

The Highways Agency is reporting delays of ten minutes but says normal road conditions will not resume until around 3pm.
