A concert to send a disabled 50-year-old on her first ever holiday raised nearly £2,000.
Anita and Emile Woolf, launched charity Maxability ten years ago to help their son, Carl, 50, who was born with disabilities.
The charity gives people with disabilities a “haven” and the Saturday’s concert was held in Mr and Mrs Woolf’s Barnet home.
The money raised will be divided between Maxability, paying the band and sending 50-year-old Wendy, who uses a wheelchair, on a respite holiday to Jubilee Lodge, in Chigwell.
Entertainment was provided by The Grier Trio, which is made up of Francis Grier and his viol and cello playing daughters, Indira and Savitri.
Mrs Woolf,79, said: “We had a great concert – it was wonderful and it’s extra nice to know that the money raised will help Wendy go on her first ever holiday.”
