Take your mind back to when you were 15-years-old in the school playground holding hands with the person you knew you would be in love with forever.

Remember that moment when the love of your life, your first, your last, your everything drops the bombshell they are dumping you.

Your life as you know it will never be the same, even at the tender age of 15 and you are sure that you will never love again.

Does any of that sound familiar?

It certainly relates to actor/playwright Peter Searle. He has written a play about the whirlwind nature of love and relationships aptly titled, Sex with Peter Searle.

"It's the hardest thing I have ever written because it's such a tricky subject," he said.

"It was not even my idea. A friend of mine, who directs the show, said I should write a play about my sex life because sex sells.

"At first I did not want to do it, but I'm so glad that I did."

Searle revealed the inspiration for a play about his sexual evolution came after his beautiful and glamourous ex-girlfriend left him for his richer and better looking best friend.

"I was heartbroken when that happened and it made me think about when I had my heartbroken in the past and it all came from there.

He added: "They are still together and I'm still friends with both them, so it all worked out in the end."

Despite exposing his own love life on stage, Peter insists he does not find revealing the ins and outs of his sexual past uncomfortable.

"I find doing the play quite cathartic really," he added. "Though it's about my love life, it's about all of us really because most of us have been there."

Yes, it sounds soppy but if you have had your heartbroken then this play proves there is always someone even worse off than you.
