People from all different cultures will come together for a dinner and dance.
Jesus House Church, in Brent Terrace, Hendon, will hold the annual Celebration of Life banquet on Saturday, August 1.
Elderly people in care homes from across Brent and Barnet have been invited to attend the annual event, which is now in its tenth year.
Organisers of the banquet have been raising money in the last few months by taking part in sponsored walks and selling at bake sales.
Stella Jackson-Obot, the head of Abgail Court, a group at Jesus House that cares for the ederly, said: “This is an an opportunity to extend our love to the elderly in our community.
“This year is special because it is our 10th year anniversary. We are aware that most of the time some residents don't get a chance to come out of their care homes so a dinner and dance makes a welcome change from normal day life.”
The guests will be treated to a three-course meal, cakes and a musical sing-a-long with a gospel choir which will feature traditional African dances.
Ms Jackson-Obot added: “We just want to extend our love to all the elderly people who ordinarily would not have been able to leave their homes and to appreciate those individuals who serve our community.”
