Two men have been arrested after a car was blown up in Mill Hill, following a carjacking and robbery in Bushey.
Hertfordshire Constabulary said three robbers assaulted a man in his 50s in Claybury, Bushey, at about 11.35pm on Thursday, July 23. Two holdalls containing jewellery were stolen from the boot of his car.
The robbers than assaulted a man in his 30s in Sparrows Herne and dragged him from his car, before driving off in it towards Bushey.
The car, a silver Honda Jazz, was later discovered by the Metropolitan Police blown up in Norbury Grove, Mill Hill.
A 66-year-old man from Barnet has been arrested on suspicion of robbery, theft of a motor vehicle and dangerous driving. He has been released on police bail until August 21.
A 35-year-old man from Oxfordshire was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery and making threats to kill. He has been released on police bail until August 20.
Officers are continuing their enquiries.
