Shoppers can try their hand at open heart surgery as a shopping centre holds a summer of interactive activities for children.
A giant Operation game and explosive science demonstrations are just some of the fun and interactive events that have been lined up for families visiting The Broadwalk Centre, in Edgware, this summer.
Kicking off on July 30, a giant version of the classic childhood Operation game will be on offer for any keen nurse or doctor ‘wannabes’ visiting the centre.
The challenge is to remove all the body parts from the oversized plastic patient without making any errors and setting off his red nose buzzer.
In the coming weeks, the centre will also be visited by Yojojo from the popular CBeebies’ television programme Waybuloo, while curious chemistry fans can watch explosive science demonstrations.
To round off the summer, the Broadwalk Centre is also hosting the Health Speed Challenge event and a comedy PE teacher duo will entertain the crowds.
A cancer prevention specialist nurse will also be on hand at each event to carry out health checks and speak to shoppers about how to improve their family’s diet.
