FIREFIGHTERS were called to tackle a coach blaze at Brent Cross.

The fire broke out on the slip road connecting the A41 (Hendon Way) and North Circular Road in the early hours of yesterday morning.

A man was treated at the scene by the London Ambulance Service for smoke inhalation and shock.

London Fire Brigade was called at 2.34am and the fire had been brought under control by 3.59am. Four fire engines and 21 firefighters from Finchley and Hendon fire stations attended.

Most of the coach was left damaged, a spokesman for the brigade said.
