PUPILS at a Potters Bar primary school are celebrating after they received new playground equipment.

St Giles’ Church of England Primary School, in South Mimms, was given the kit from Sainsbury’s Potters Bar through the Active Kids scheme.

Store manager Jane Litchfield visited the school today (November 3) to give the equipment, which includes sand and water tubs, fuzzballs, hoops and water bottle sets.

Headteacher Susan Ridge said: “Our parents and customers at Sainsbury’s Potters Bar have been really supportive by collecting vouchers for us this year.

“The scheme has helped, over the last few years, to provide us with new equipment to enjoy and use to teach our children the benefits of a healthier more active lifestyle. We are delighted to receive the new equipment again this year”.

Ms Litchfield said: “We’ve had a fantastic morning at St Giles’ presenting the pupils with their new equipment. It’s brilliant to see the benefits of the scheme. We look forward to working with the school in the future.”
