A TEENAGE photographer who took a picture of an old London bus next to a new one has been shortlisted for an award.
Jake Silverstone, who lives in Barnet, was shortlisted for EEF Lombard’s Young Photographer of the Year award.
His photograph will now go on display at an awards ceremony in the House of Commons on Thursday, December 10 where the winners will be announced.
Jake, 16, said: ““I’m delighted to be shortlisted and honoured that my work will be on display in the House of Commons. Manufacturing offers lots of opportunities for exciting, interesting and dynamic images – the challenge as a photographer is to capture all that in a single shot.
“I really hope my photograph makes people think about manufacturing in a different way, and I really hope the judges enjoy my work the way I do.”
The winners will share a prize of £5,000 of Canon photography equipment.
