POLICE have released an e-fit image of a man wanted in connection with a distraction burglary in Potters Bar.
The incident took place at about 7.30pm on Tuesday, November 17 in Northlands.
Three men knocked on a resident’s door and said there was a problem with a neighbour’s water supply, and asked to come in and check their water.
They were allowed inside, and one man began to search under the sink. The resident became suspicious and challenged them, and had to push them from their home.
Officers said two of the suspects were described as Eastern European mean aged in their 30s, wearing dark coloured jackets, which had a yellow triangle on the shoulder.
Investigator Julie Fewings from the specialist unit Operation Manhunt said: “The victim has assisted police with creating this evo-fit of one of the suspects, which we are releasing to help the investigation.
“I’d urge anyone who may recognise this face or the description of the men given, to contact police immediately.”
