MOST women dread bad hair days – but a group of girls donned some wacky styles to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Students at Barnet and Southgate College, in Wood Street, held a fashion show as part of their hairdressing qualification on Monday.

The hair styles, costumes and make-up were inspired by different themes included Avant Garde, the 80s and Ascot Ladies Day.

The stylists spent over two hours perfecting the hair styles and make-up.

Redona Kurti, a student and model in the fashion show said she was inspired to take part and help the hospital because her cousin spent time there.

Curriculum Manager for Hairdressing, Liz Scott called the show “fantastic” and credited the student’s success to the teachers.

It was organised to ahead of Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital’s Bad Hair Day, which sees people wear crazy hair to raise money for the cause on February 12.

Staff and students will pop on a wacky wig, crimp their crop and mousse up a mean Mohawk to support the cause.
