A FLASH mob, an MP and rugby players all helped raise awareness abut dementia at Brent Cross.
Politician Matthew Offord, Zemel Choir and Saracens Rugby Club all took to the shopping centre for Dementia Awareness Day on May 19.
A ribbon was cut by Mr Offord and a flash mob congregated who were actually the Zemel Choir, conducted by musical director Dr Benjamin woLF.
Nigel Wray, chairman of Saracens also attended.
It was organised with the help of Lisa Rutter, a Barnet councillor who runs a series of dementia cafes across the borough.
She said: “A lot of people approached us and asked questions, to talk about the problems they were experiencing and wanted advice and information.
“We are proud to be associated with such a successful rugby club who cares and does so much for the community.”
The fifth dementia cafe in Barnet will be launched at Hendon Town Hall in The Burroughs on July 28.
